Then I'll strip her naked in the sight of her lovers. No one can rescue her.

Jerusalem's horrible sins have made the city a joke. Those who once admired her now hate her instead— she has been disgraced; she groans and turns away.

They will cruelly take away everything you have worked for and strip you naked. Then everyone will see you for the prostitute you really are. Your own vulgar sins

So I, the Lord God, will gather every one of your lovers, those you liked and those you hated. They will stand around you, and I will rip off your clothes and let all of those lovers stare at your nakedness.

Do you know why your clothes were torn off and you were abused? It was because of your terrible sins.

But I will take everything that belongs to you, people of Edom, and I will uncover every place where you try to hide. Then you will die, and so will your children, relatives, and neighbors.

But I, the Lord All-Powerful, am now your enemy. I will pull up your skirt and let nations and kingdoms stare at your nakedness.

You will suffer the shame of going naked, because I will take revenge, and no one can escape.

She said, “My lovers gave me vineyards and fig trees as payment for sex.” Now I, the Lord, will ruin her vineyards and fig trees; they will become clumps of weeds eaten by wild animals.
