The Scriptures say, “Humans wither like grass, and their glory fades like wild flowers. Grass dries up, and flowers fall to the ground.

You made my life short, so brief that the time means nothing to you. “Human life is but a breath,

The world and the desires it causes are disappearing. But if we obey God, we will live forever.

My days disappear like smoke, and my bones are burning as though in a furnace.

But any who are rich should be glad when God makes them humble. Rich people will disappear like wild flowers

Remember, life is short! Why did you empty our lives of all meaning?

Everything will soon come to an end. So be serious and be sensible enough to pray.

God remembered that they were made of flesh and were like a wind that blows once and then dies down.

We disappear like a breath; we last no longer than a faint shadow.

Don't brag about tomorrow! Each day brings its own surprises.

Stop trusting the power of humans. They are all going to die, so how can they help?
