You heard what I said, and you have seen it happen. Now admit it's true! I will show you secrets you have never known.

After this, I looked and saw a door that opened into heaven. Then the voice that had spoken to me at first and that sounded like a trumpet said, “Come up here! I will show you what must happen next.”

Everything has happened just as I said it would; now I will announce what will happen next.

Whatever I say to you in the dark, you must tell in the light. And you must announce from the housetops whatever I have whispered to you.

I am creating something new. There it is! Do you see it? I have put roads in deserts, streams in thirsty lands.

But it is just as the Scriptures say, “What God has planned for people who love him is more than eyes have seen or ears have heard. It has never even entered our minds!”

But the Holy Spirit will come upon you and give you power. Then you will tell everyone about me in Jerusalem, in all Judea, in Samaria, and everywhere in the world.”

Servants don't know what their master is doing, and so I don't speak to you as my servants. I speak to you as my friends, and I have told you everything my Father has told me.

Raise the signal flags; shout so all nations can hear— Babylon will be captured! Marduk, Babylon's god, will be ashamed and terrified, and his idols broken.

Now listen to what I say! Did I abandon you in the desert or surround you with darkness? You are my people, yet you have told me, “We'll do what we want, and we refuse to worship you!”

Then I said, “My people, you have suffered terribly, but I have a message for you from the Lord All-Powerful, the God of Israel.”

With my own mouth, I tell others the laws that you have spoken.

Be wise! Remember this and think about the kindness of the Lord.

Write what you have seen and what is and what will happen after these things.

I am the Lord, and you are wise to respect my power to punish. So listen to my message for the city of Jerusalem:

Isn't the whole city frightened when the trumpet signals an attack? Isn't the Lord the one who brings disaster on a city?

Today I am doing something new, something you cannot say you have heard before.

Ask me, and I will tell you things that you don't know and can't find out.

My name is the Lord! I won't let idols or humans share my glory and praise.

who sees and hears so much, but pays no attention.
