Beer and wine are only for the dying or for those who have lost all hope.

and every cow have calves. Don't let our city be captured or any of us be taken away, and don't let cries of sorrow be heard in our streets.

Judah and Jerusalem weep as the land dries up.

All nations have heard you weep; you are disgraced, and they know it. Your troops fall to the ground, stumbling over each other.

Grapevines have dried up and so has every tree— figs and pomegranates, date palms and apples. All happiness has faded away.

You may not have worries now, but in about a year, the grape harvest will fail, and you will tremble.
