Israel, I know all about you, and because of your unfaithfulness, I find you unacceptable.

And you prophets in Jerusalem are even worse. You're unfaithful in marriage and never tell the truth. You even lead others to sin instead of helping them turn back to me. You and the people of Jerusalem are evil like Sodom and Gomorrah.

You people of Israel are charmed by idols. Leave those people alone!

She had sex with all the important Assyrian officials and even worshiped their disgusting idols.

You expect wooden idols and other objects of wood to give you advice. Lusting for sex at pagan shrines has made you unfaithful to me, your God.
