Both of them were good people and pleased the Lord God by obeying all that he had commanded.

Because Noah had faith, he was warned about something that had not yet happened. He obeyed and built a boat that saved him and his family. In this way the people of the world were judged, and Noah was given the blessings that come to everyone who pleases God.

And during Noah's time, God did not have pity on the ungodly people of the world. He destroyed them with a flood, though he did save eight people, including Noah, who preached the truth.

The Lord told Noah: Take your whole family with you into the boat, because you are the only one on this earth who pleases me.

There was a man named Joseph, who was from Arimathea in Judea. Joseph was a good and honest man, and he was eager for God's kingdom to come. He was also a member of the council, but he did not agree with what they had decided.

At this time a man named Simeon was living in Jerusalem. Simeon was a good man. He loved God and was waiting for him to save the people of Israel. God's Spirit came to him

“I, the Lord, refuse to accept anyone who is proud. Only those who live by faith are acceptable to me.”

The lifestyle of good people is like sunlight at dawn that keeps getting brighter until broad daylight.

Think of the bright future waiting for all the families of honest, innocent, and peace-loving people.

As long as Asa lived, he was faithful to the Lord, even though he did not destroy the local shrines in Israel.

Then he gave Joseph his blessing and said: My grandfather Abraham and my father Isaac worshiped the Lord God. He has been with me all my life,

I have always lived right, and God answered my prayers; now friends make fun of me.

Even though Amaziah obeyed the Lord by doing right, he refused to be completely faithful.

After the flood Shem, Ham, and Japheth had many descendants.

God created men and women to be like himself. He gave them his blessing and called them human beings. The following is a list of the descendants of Adam, the first man:

Never be guilty of doing any of these disgusting things!

I obey you completely and guard against sin.

The Lord protects his people, and they can come to him in times of trouble.
