Whatever the Lord God plans to do, he tells his servants, the prophets.

Our Lord, you are the friend of your worshipers, and you make an agreement with all of us.

Servants don't know what their master is doing, and so I don't speak to you as my servants. I speak to you as my friends, and I have told you everything my Father has told me.

This is what the Scriptures mean by saying, “Abraham had faith in God, and God accepted him.” That's how Abraham became God's friend.
