My child, I warn you to stay away from any teachings except these. There is no end to books, and too much study will wear you out.

The more you know, the more you hurt; the more you understand, the more you suffer.

Jesus did many other things. If they were all written in books, I don't suppose there would be room enough in the whole world for all the books.

You search the Scriptures, because you think you will find eternal life in them. The Scriptures tell about me,

Solomon wrote 3,000 wise sayings and composed more than 1,000 songs.

But these are written so that you will put your faith in Jesus as the Messiah and the Son of God. If you have faith in him, you will have true life.
