I correct and punish everyone I love. So make up your minds to turn away from your sins.

The Lord corrects everyone he loves, just as parents correct a child they dearly love.

I will be his father, and he will be my son. When he does wrong, I'll see that he is corrected, just as children are corrected by their parents.

But when the Lord judges and punishes us, he does it to keep us from being condemned with the rest of the world.

Our Lord, you bless everyone that you instruct and teach by using your Law.

They will think about what they've done and stop sinning, and so they won't be put to death.

Then I will correct and punish them because of their sins.

You must be very careful not to forget the things you have seen God do for you. Keep reminding yourselves, and tell your children and grandchildren as well.

So before it gets dark, here is what I want you to do. Pack a few things as though you were going to be taken away as a prisoner. Then go outside where everyone can see you and walk around from place to place. Maybe as they watch, they will realize what rebels they are.

Always remember the agreement that the Lord your God made with you, and don't make an idol in any shape or form.

Oxen and donkeys know who owns and feeds them, but my people won't ever learn.”

Obey the commands the Lord your God has given you and worship him with fear and trembling.

If you love your children, you will correct them; if you don't love them, you won't correct them.

When times are good, you should be cheerful; when times are bad, think about what it means. God makes them both to keep us from knowing what will happen next.

And you know that the Lord has taken care of us the whole time we've been in the desert, just as you might carry one of your children.”

My child, don't turn away or become bitter when the Lord corrects you.
