Daniel 6:10

Daniel heard about the law, but when he returned home, he went upstairs and prayed in front of the window that faced Jerusalem. In the same way that he had always done, he knelt down in prayer three times a day, giving thanks to God.

So whenever we are in need, we should come bravely before the throne of our merciful God. There we will be treated with undeserved grace, and we will find help.

Listen when anyone in Israel truly feels sorry and sincerely prays with arms lifted toward your temple.

Don't worry about what you will suffer. The devil will throw some of you into jail, and you will be tested and made to suffer for ten days. But if you are faithful until you die, I will reward you with a glorious life.

Whatever you say or do should be done in the name of the Lord Jesus, as you give thanks to God the Father because of him.

I honestly expect and hope I will never do anything to be ashamed of. Whether I live or die, I always want to be as brave as I am now and bring honor to Christ.

After Paul had finished speaking, he knelt down with all of them and prayed.

I answered, “Why should someone like me have to run and hide in the temple to save my life? I won't go!”

I know you live where Satan has his throne. But you have kept true to my name. Right there where Satan lives, my faithful witness Antipas was taken from you and put to death. Even then you did not give up your faith in me.

Now most of the Lord's followers have become brave and are fearlessly telling the message.

But when the week was over, we started on our way again. All the men, together with their wives and children, walked with us from the town to the seashore. We knelt on the beach and prayed.

But I don't care what happens to me, as long as I finish the work the Lord Jesus gave me to do. And this work is to tell the good news about God's gift of undeserved grace.

He knelt down and shouted, “Lord, don't blame them for what they have done.” Then he died.

“Go to the temple and tell the people everything about this new life.”

Lord, listen to their threats! We are your servants. So make us brave enough to speak your message.

The time of prayer was about three o'clock in the afternoon, and Peter and John were going into the temple.

You are wrong to think that these people are drunk. After all, it is only nine o'clock in the morning.

Jesus walked on a little way before he knelt down and prayed,

You cannot be my disciple, unless you love me more than you love your father and mother, your wife and children, and your brothers and sisters. You cannot follow me unless you love me more than you love your own life.

Be kind to me! I pray to you all day.

At the time of the evening sacrifice, I was still sitting there in sorrow with my clothes all torn. So I got down on my knees, then lifted my arms,

I am your servant, and the people of Israel belong to you. So whenever any of us look toward this temple and pray, answer from your home in heaven and forgive our sins.

Jesus told the man to stand up where everyone could see him.
