The Lord God showed me that he is going to send locusts to attack your crops. It will happen after the king has already been given his share of the grain and before the rest of the grain has been harvested.

After this, I looked and saw a door that opened into heaven. Then the voice that had spoken to me at first and that sounded like a trumpet said, “Come up here! I will show you what must happen next.”

And when God speaks about the angels, he says, “I change my angels into wind and my servants into flaming fire.”

Who can stand the heat of his furious anger? It flashes out like fire and shatters stones.

Mountains will melt beneath his feet like wax beside a fire. Valleys will vanish like water rushing down a ravine.

The Lord showed me a vision of himself standing beside a wall and holding a string with a weight tied to the end of it. The string and weight had been used to measure the straightness of the wall.

Turn back to the Lord, you descendants of Joseph, and you will live. If you don't, the Lord will attack like fire. Bethel will burn to the ground, and no one can save it.

I destroyed many of you, just as I did the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah. You were a burning stick I rescued from the fire. But even then you rejected me. I, the Lord, have spoken!

That's why I will burn down the walls and fortresses of the city of Gaza.

Now I will burn down the palaces and fortresses of King Hazael and of King Benhadad.

I will work wonders in the sky above and on the earth below. There will be blood and fire and clouds of smoke.

Each new day, make sure that justice is done, and rescue those who are being robbed. Or else my anger will flame up like a fire that never goes out.

With all your hearts, keep the agreement I made with you. But if you are stubborn and keep on sinning, my anger will burn like a fire that cannot be put out. *

I am no longer angry. But if it produces thorns, I will go to war against it and burn it to the ground.

“My people, I will breathe out fire that sends you down to the world of the dead. It will scorch your farmlands and burn deep down under the mountains.

Suddenly the Lord sent a fire that burned up the 250 men who had offered incense to him.

Suddenly the Lord sent fiery flames and burned them to death.

I cry out to you, Lord. Grasslands and forests are eaten by the scorching heat.

Now I will send fire on Judah and destroy the fortresses of Jerusalem.

that I am about to punish them. I will pull out my sword and have it ready to kill everyone, whether good or evil.
