But before they left, they said, “This man isn't guilty of anything. He doesn't deserve to die or to be put in jail.”

I have not found him guilty of any crime deserving death. But because he has asked to be judged by the Emperor, I have decided to send him to Rome.

But since this concerns only words, names, and your own law, you will have to take care of it yourselves. I refuse to judge such matters.”

They looked into the charges against me and wanted to release me. They found that I had not done anything deserving death.
