When David reached the top of the Mount of Olives, he met Hushai the Archite at a place of worship. Hushai's robe was torn, and dust was on his head.

Three days later, a soldier came from Saul's army. His clothes were torn, and dirt was on his head. He went to David and knelt down in front of him.

Then Absalom said, “Bring in Hushai the Archite. Let's hear what he has to say.”

Baana son of Hushai was in charge of the territory of Asher and the town of Bealoth.

Ahithophel and Hushai the Archite were two of David's advisors.

By this time, Absalom, Ahithophel, and the others had reached Jerusalem.
