David went on up the slope of the Mount of Olives. He was barefoot and crying, and he covered his head to show his sorrow. Everyone with him was crying, and they covered their heads too.

Afterwards, Mordecai returned to his duties in the king's palace, and Haman hurried home, hiding his face in shame.

The Mount of Olives was about a kilometer from Jerusalem. The apostles who had gone there were Peter, John, James, Andrew, Philip, Thomas, Bartholomew, Matthew, James the son of Alphaeus, Simon, known as the Eager One, and Judas the son of James. After the apostles returned to the city, they went upstairs to the room where they had been staying.

Jesus went out to the Mount of Olives, as he often did, and his disciples went with him.

Jesus taught in the temple each day, and he spent each night on the Mount of Olives.

When Jesus came closer and could see Jerusalem, he cried

When Jesus started down the Mount of Olives, his large crowd of disciples were happy and praised God because of all the miracles they had seen.

As he was getting near Bethphage and Bethany on the Mount of Olives, he sent two of his disciples on ahead.

God blesses those people who grieve. They will find comfort!

He will take his stand on the Mount of Olives east of Jerusalem, and the mountain will split in half, forming a wide valley that runs from east to west.

Why am I discouraged? Why am I restless? I trust you, Lord! And I will praise you again because you help me, and you are my God.

Day and night my tears are my only food, as everyone keeps asking, “Where is your God?”

Zadok and Abiathar took the sacred chest back into Jerusalem and stayed there.

Joab went to the house where David was staying and told him: You've made your soldiers ashamed! Not only did they save your life, they saved your sons and daughters and wives as well.
