Each of you must make up your own mind about how much to give. But don't feel sorry that you must give and don't feel you are forced to give. God loves people who love to give.

It doesn't matter how much you have. What matters is how much you are willing to give from what you have.

By everything I did, I showed how you should work to help everyone who is weak. Remember that our Lord Jesus said, “More blessings come from giving than from receiving.”

But we are happy, because everyone has voluntarily given you these things. You know what is in everyone's heart, and you are pleased when people are honest.

Tell everyone in Israel who wants to give gifts that they must bring them to you.

Generosity will be rewarded: Give a cup of water, and you will receive a cup of water in return.

The Lord blesses everyone who freely gives food to the poor.

If we can encourage others, we should encourage them. If we can give, we should be generous. If we are leaders, we should do our best. If we are good to others, we should do it cheerfully.

Welcome people into your home and don't grumble about it.

I will welcome an offering from anyone who wants to give something. You may bring gold, silver, or bronze;

But helpful people can always be trusted to make helpful plans.

give them sheep and goats and a good supply of grain and wine. The more the Lord has given you, the more you should give them.

Don't grumble about each other or you will be judged, and the judge is right outside the door.

Fools will no longer be highly respected, and crooks won't be given positions of honor.

David and the people were very happy that so much had been given to the Lord, and they all celebrated.

But I won't do anything unless you agree to it first. I want your act of kindness to come from your heart, and not be something you feel forced to do.
