A ruler who listens to lies will have corrupt officials.

The tongue is like a spark. It is an evil power that dirties the rest of the body and sets a person's entire life on fire with flames that come from hell itself.

Watch out for anyone who tells lies and flatters— they are out to get you.

As surely as rain blows in from the north, anger is caused by cruel words.

There's nothing so delicious as the taste of gossip! It melts in your mouth.

Troublemakers listen to troublemakers, and liars listen to liars.

Gossip is no good! It causes hard feelings and comes between friends.

Everyone will admit that I was right when their rulers are thrown down a rocky cliff,

Anyone who spreads gossip will be silenced; no one who is conceited will be my friend.

Please listen to what I have to say. If the Lord has turned you against me, maybe a sacrifice will make him change his mind. But if some people have turned you against me, I hope the Lord will punish them! They have forced me to leave the land that belongs to the Lord and have told me to worship foreign gods.

Don't be a gossip, but never hesitate to speak up in court, especially if your testimony can save someone's life.

David escaped from Prophets Village. Then he ran to see Jonathan and asked, “Why does your father Saul want to kill me? What have I done wrong?”

Soon, David also got up and left the cave. “Your Majesty!” he shouted from a distance. Saul turned around to look. David bowed down very low

You can see for yourself that the Lord gave me the chance to catch you in the cave today. Some of my men wanted to kill you, but I wouldn't let them do it. I told them, “I will not harm the Lord's chosen king!”

Why are you hunting me down? Have I done something wrong, or have I committed a crime?

Then I continued, “Your Majesty, why have you put me in prison? Have I committed a crime against you or your officials or the nation?

After the boy had gone, David got up from beside the mound and bowed very low three times. Then he and Jonathan kissed each other and cried, but David cried louder.
