That time will certainly come! And when it does, I won't show the people of Jerusalem any pity or change my mind. They must be punished for the evil they have done. I, the Lord God, have spoken.

God is no mere human! He doesn't tell lies or change his mind. God always keeps his promises.

Then they will have the hope of eternal life God promised long ago. And God never tells a lie!

God cannot tell lies! And so his promises and vows are two things that can never be changed. We have run to God for safety. Now his promises should greatly encourage us to take hold of the hope that is right in front of us.

If we are not faithful, he will still be faithful. Christ cannot deny who he is.”

In his anger, God told them, “You people will never enter my place of rest.”

But he replied, “My gift of undeserved grace is all you need. My power is strongest when you are weak.” So if Christ keeps giving me his power, I will gladly brag about how weak I am.

From the heart of Jerusalem the Lord roars like a lion, shaking the earth and sky. But the Lord is a fortress, a place of safety for his people Israel.

They will admit that I alone can bring about justice. Everyone who is angry with me will be terribly ashamed and will turn to me.

The God of Israel is fearsome in his temple, and he makes us strong. Let's praise our God!

Pray that our Lord will make us strong and give us peace.

Christ gives me the strength to face anything.

The eternal God is our hiding place; he carries us in his arms. When God tells you to destroy your enemies, he will make them run.

Your power is great, and your glory is seen everywhere in heaven and on earth. You are king of the entire world,
