Then Samuel told them: The Lord brought your ancestors out of Egypt and chose Moses and Aaron to be your leaders.

I rescued you from Egypt, where you were slaves. I sent Moses, Aaron, and Miriam to be your leaders.

The Lord had commanded Aaron and Moses to lead every family and tribe of Israel out of Egypt,

God even split open a rock, and streams of water gushed into the desert.

Moses and Aaron were two of your priests. Samuel was also one of those who prayed in your name, and you, our Lord, answered their prayers.

I sent the prophet Moses to lead Israel from Egypt and to keep them safe.

God sent his servant Moses. He also chose and sent Aaron

and so they told the king of Egypt to set the people of Israel free.
