We humans are like grass or wild flowers that quickly bloom.

What do you know about tomorrow? How can you be so sure about your life? It is nothing more than mist that appears for only a little while before it disappears.

They will soon disappear like grass without rain.

Their people became weak, terribly confused. They were like wild flowers or tender young grass growing on a flat roof, scorched before it matures.

The world and the desires it causes are disappearing. But if we obey God, we will live forever.

May they be like grass on the flat roof of a house, grass that dries up as soon as it sprouts.

Though the wicked sprout and spread like grass, they will be pulled up by their roots.

I am wasting away like grass, and my appetite is gone.

You bring our lives to an end just like a dream. We are merely tender grass

We are flowers that fade and shadows that vanish.

and it disappears like a shadow. Our struggles are senseless; we store up more and more, without ever knowing who will get it all.

I am the Lord, the one who encourages you. Why are you afraid of mere humans? They dry up and die like grass.

God gives such beauty to everything that grows in the fields, even though it is here today and thrown into a fire tomorrow. God will surely do even more for you! Why do you have such little faith?
