But if we confess our sins to God, he can always be trusted to forgive us and take our sins away.

So I confessed my sins and told them all to you. I said, “I'll tell the Lord each one of my sins.” Then you forgave me and took away my guilt.

If you don't confess your sins, you will be a failure. But God will be merciful if you confess your sins and give them up.

They sinned and rebelled against me, but I will forgive them and take away their guilt.

But if we live in the light, as God does, we share in life with each other. And the blood of his Son Jesus washes all our sins away.

I will sprinkle you with clean water, and you will be clean and acceptable to me. I will wash away everything that makes you unclean, and I will remove your disgusting idols.

We must hold tightly to the hope we say is ours. After all, we can trust the one who made the agreement with us.

“Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners.” This saying is true, and it can be trusted. I was the worst sinner of all!

I am your servant, so please have mercy on me and answer the prayer that I make day and night for these people of Israel who serve you. I, my family, and the rest of your people have sinned

They will no longer worship idols and do things that make them unacceptable to me. I will wash away their sin and make them clean, and I will protect them from everything that makes them unclean. They will be my people, and I will be their God.

God can be trusted, and he chose you to be partners with his Son, our Lord Jesus Christ.

You know that the Lord your God is the only true God. So love him and obey his commands, and he will faithfully keep his agreement with you and your descendants for a thousand generations.

Many who were followers now started telling everyone about the evil things they had been doing.

From all Judea and Jerusalem crowds of people went to John. They told how sorry they were for their sins, and he baptized them in the Jordan River.

He gave himself to rescue us from everything evil and to make our hearts pure. He wanted us to be his own people and to be eager to do right.

None of us know our faults. Forgive me when I sin without knowing it.

Some of you used to be like that. But now the name of our Lord Jesus Christ and the power of God's Spirit have washed you and made you holy and acceptable to God.

The Lord can always be trusted to show mercy each morning.

God is always fair. He will remember how you helped his people in the past and how you are still helping them. You belong to God, and he won't forget the love you have shown his people.

Later, they may feel sorry for what they did and ask your forgiveness. Answer them when they pray toward this temple I have built for you in your chosen city, here in this land you gave their ancestors. From your home in heaven, listen to their sincere prayers and do what they ask.

I keep my promises to my people forever, but I also punish anyone who sins. When people sin, I punish them and their children, and also their grandchildren and great-grandchildren.”

I am your servant, and the people of Israel belong to you. So whenever any of us look toward this temple and pray, answer from your home in heaven and forgive our sins.

Just admit that you rebelled and worshiped foreign gods under large trees everywhere.

Good Father, the people of this world don't know you. But I know you, and my followers know that you sent me.
