So the Lord told him, “I will do what you have asked, because I am your friend and I am pleased with you.”

The Lord is good. He protects those who trust him in times of trouble.

But the foundation God has laid is solid. On it is written, “The Lord knows who his people are. So everyone who worships the Lord must turn away from evil.”

But it is just as the Scriptures say, “What God has planned for people who love him is more than eyes have seen or ears have heard. It has never even entered our minds!”

But now you know God, or better still, God knows you. How can you turn back and become the slaves of those weak and pitiful powers?

I know everything about you, including your love, your faith, your service, and how you have endured. I know you are doing more now than you have ever done before.

God will bless you, if you don't give up when your faith is being tested. He will reward you with a glorious life, just as he rewards everyone who loves him.

“Jeremiah, I am your Creator, and before you were born, I chose you to speak for me to the nations.”

I am the good shepherd. I know my sheep, and they know me.

But I will tell them, “I will have nothing to do with you! Get out of my sight, you evil people!”

The Lord protects everyone who follows him, but the wicked follow a road that leads to ruin.

We love because God loved us first.

I know how much you suffer and how poor you are, but you are rich. I also know the cruel things being said about you by people who claim to be God's people. But they are not really God's people. They are a group that belongs to Satan.

You have never seen Jesus, and you don't see him now. But still you love him and have faith in him, and no words can tell how glad and happy

Moses said to the Lord, “I know that you have told me to lead these people to the land you promised them. But you have not said who will go along to help me. You have said that you are my friend and that you are pleased with me.

You know my heart, and even during the night you have tested me and found me innocent. I have made up my mind never to tell a lie.

I know you live where Satan has his throne. But you have kept true to my name. Right there where Satan lives, my faithful witness Antipas was taken from you and put to death. Even then you did not give up your faith in me.

My dear friends, pay attention. God has given a lot of faith to the poor people in this world. God has also promised them a share in his kingdom that he will give to everyone who loves him.

God did not turn his back on his chosen people. Don't you remember reading in the Scriptures how Elijah complained to God about the people of Israel?

Solomon loved the Lord and followed his father David's instructions, but Solomon also offered sacrifices and burned incense at the shrines.

Of all nations on earth, you are the only one I have chosen. That's why I will punish you because of your sins.

Now all we can see of God is like a cloudy picture in a mirror. Later we will see him face to face. We don't know everything, but then we will, just as God completely understands us.

My dear friends, we must love each other. Love comes from God, and when we love each other, it shows we have been given new life. We are now God's children, and we know him.
