There were so many people living in Judah and Israel while Solomon was king that they seemed like grains of sand on a beach. Everyone had enough to eat and drink, and they were happy.

You will have more descendants than there are blades of grass on the face of the earth.

Your future will be brighter by far than your past.

Our LORD, your trees always have water, and so do the cedars you planted in Lebanon.

Let him be as helpful as rain that refreshes the meadows and the ground.

Soon the forest of Lebanon will become a field with crops, thick as a forest.

The Lord will send rain to water the seeds you have planted--your fields will produce more crops than you need, and your cattle will graze in open pastures.

When the Spirit is given to us from heaven, deserts will become orchards thick as fertile forests.

You will have God's blessing, as you plant your crops beside streams, while your donkeys and cattle roam freely about.

Deserts will bloom everywhere and sing joyful songs. They will be as majestic as Mount Lebanon, as glorious as Mount Carmel or Sharon Valley. Everyone will see the wonderful splendor of the LORD our God. *

After this, I saw a large crowd with more people than could be counted. They were from every race, tribe, nation, and language, and they stood before the throne and before the Lamb. They wore white robes and held palm branches in their hands,
