When you, LORD God, appeared to your people at Sinai, you came with thousands of mighty chariots.

Elijah and Elisha were walking along and talking, when suddenly there appeared between them a flaming chariot pulled by fiery horses. Right away, a strong wind took Elijah up into heaven.

You rode on the backs of flying creatures and swooped down with the wind as wings.

You did not forget to punish the guilty or listen to the cries of those in need.

God replied, "Don't come any closer. Take off your sandals--the ground where you are standing is holy.

In the future, the mountain with the LORD's temple will be the highest of all. It will reach above the hills; every nation will rush to it.

Ezekiel, son of man, this temple is my throne on earth. I will live here among the people of Israel forever. They and their kings will never again disgrace me by worshiping idols at local shrines or by setting up memorials to their dead kings.

But if the people and their kings stop worshiping other gods and tear down those memorials, I will live among them forever.

Our LORD, were you angry with the monsters of the deep? You attacked in your chariot and wiped them out.

Don't you know that I could ask my Father, and right away he would send me more than twelve armies of angels?

The LORD came from Mount Sinai. From Edom, he gave light to his people, and his glory was shining from Mount Paran. Thousands of his warriors were with him, and fire was at his right hand.

As I looked, I heard the voices of a lot of angels around the throne and the voices of the living creatures and of the elders. There were millions and millions of them,

By listening, I could tell there were more than two hundred million of these war horses.
