Show respect to his son because if you don't, the LORD might become furious and suddenly destroy you. But he blesses and protects everyone who runs to him.

If you know what you're doing, you will prosper. God blesses everyone who trusts him.

The LORD God is waiting to show how kind he is and to have pity on you. The LORD always does right; he blesses those who trust him.

But I will bless those who trust me.

Now you continue to sin by designing and making idols of silver in the shape of calves. You are told to sacrifice to these idols -- yes, even to kiss them.

before it's too late. The LORD has set a time when his fierce anger will strike like a storm and sweep you away.

"I am the way, the truth, and the life!" Jesus answered. "Without me, no one can go to the Father.

The Father wants all people to honor the Son as much as they honor him. When anyone refuses to honor the Son, that is the same as refusing to honor the Father who sent him.

The Scriptures say that no one who has faith will be disappointed,

just as God says in the Scriptures, "Look! I am placing in Zion a stone to make people stumble and fall. But those who have faith in that one will never be disappointed."

He did this so that we Jews would bring honor to him and be the first ones to have hope because of him.

And when he did come, it was to lead you to have faith in God, who raised him from death and honored him in a glorious way. That's why you have put your faith and hope in God.

It is just as God says in the Scriptures, "Look! I am placing in Zion a choice and precious cornerstone. No one who has faith in that one will be disappointed."
