I will bless you and make your descendants into a great nation. You will become famous and be a blessing to others.

I will give you more descendants than there are specks of dust on the earth, and someday it will be easier to count the specks of dust than to count your descendants.

So all the Israelites in the camp were counted according to their ancestral families. The troops were arranged by divisions and totaled 603,550.

They are living alone in peace. And though they are many, they don't bother the other nations. "I hope to obey God for as long as I live and to die in such peace."

The total number of Israelite men listed was 601,730.

When your ancestors went to live in Egypt, there were only seventy of them. But the LORD has blessed you, and now there are more of you than there are stars in the sky.
