But the LORD has filled me with power and his Spirit. I have been given the courage to speak about justice and to tell you people of Israel that you have sinned.

Shout the message! Don't hold back. Say to my people Israel: You've sinned! You've turned against the LORD.

Ezekiel, son of man, remind the people of Jerusalem of their disgusting sins

Are you willing to warn them, Ezekiel? Then remind them of the disgusting sins of their ancestors.

Ezekiel, son of man, are you ready to condemn Jerusalem? That city is filled with murderers, so remind the people of their sins

The LORD said: Ezekiel, son of man, it's time for you to tell Oholah and Oholibah that they are guilty. Remind them of their evil ways!

Then the Spirit carried me away. The LORD's power had taken complete control of me, and I was both annoyed and angry.

The people of Israel must suffer shame for sinning against me, so tell them about my holy temple. Let them think about it,

He taught them like someone with authority, and not like their teachers of the Law of Moses.

There were also James and John, the two sons of Zebedee. Jesus called them Boanerges, which means "Thunderbolts."

When I talked with you or preached, I didn't try to prove anything by sounding wise. I simply let God's Spirit show his power.
