The blind are now able to see, and the lame can walk. People with leprosy are being healed, and the deaf can hear. The dead are raised to life, and the poor are hearing the good news.

Naaman walked down to the Jordan; he waded out into the water and stooped down in it seven times, just as Elisha had told him. Right away, he was cured, and his skin became as smooth as a child's.

When the king of Israel read the letter, he tore his clothes in fear and shouted, "That Syrian king believes I can cure this man of leprosy! Does he think I'm God with power over life and death? He must be trying to pick a fight with me."

and heals blind eyes. He gives a helping hand to everyone who falls. The LORD loves good people

The poor will eat and be full, and all who worship you will be thankful and live in hope.

But the LORD answered, "Who makes people able to speak or makes them deaf or unable to speak? Who gives them sight or makes them blind? Don't you know that I am the one who does these things?

The deaf will be able to hear whatever is read to them; the blind will be freed from a life of darkness.

The poor and the needy will celebrate and shout because of the LORD, the holy God of Israel.

Bring my people together. They have eyes and ears, but they can't see or hear.

I have made everything; that's how it all came to be. I, the LORD, have spoken. The people I treasure most are the humble-- they depend only on me and tremble when I speak.

So I became a shepherd of those sheep doomed to be slaughtered by the sheep dealers. And I gave names to the two sticks I used for tending the sheep: One of them was named "Mercy" and the other "Unity."

Heal the sick, raise the dead to life, heal people who have leprosy, and force out demons. You received without paying, now give without being paid.

Jesus answered, "Go and tell John what you have heard and seen.

Then Jesus told the man, "Hold out your hand." The man did, and it became as healthy as the other one.

Blind and lame people came to Jesus in the temple, and he healed them.

God blesses those people who depend only on him. They belong to the kingdom of heaven!

They were able to see, and Jesus strictly warned them not to tell anyone about him.

They were completely amazed and said, "Everything he does is good! He even heals people who cannot hear or talk."

When Jesus saw that a crowd was gathering fast, he spoke sternly to the evil spirit that had kept the boy from speaking or hearing. He said, "I order you to come out of the boy! Don't ever bother him again."

"The Lord's Spirit has come to me, because he has chosen me to tell the good news to the poor. The Lord has sent me to announce freedom for prisoners, to give sight to the blind, to free everyone who suffers,

Jesus answered: I have told you, and you refused to believe me. The things I do by my Father's authority show who I am.

But if I do what my Father does, you should believe because of that, even if you don't have faith in me. Then you will know for certain that the Father is one with me, and I am one with the Father.

In Jerusalem during Passover many people put their faith in Jesus, because they saw him work miracles.

One night he went to Jesus and said, "Sir, we know that God has sent you to teach us. You could not work these miracles, unless God were with you."

But something more important than John speaks for me. I mean the things that the Father has given me to do! All of these speak for me and prove that the Father sent me.

Then he said, "Go and wash off the mud in Siloam Pool." The man went and washed in Siloam, which means "One Who Is Sent." When he had washed off the mud, he could see.

Now, listen to what I have to say about Jesus from Nazareth. God proved that he sent Jesus to you by having him work miracles, wonders, and signs. All of you know this.

My dear friends, pay attention. God has given a lot of faith to the poor people in this world. He has also promised them a share in his kingdom that he will give to everyone who loves him.
