Satan answered, "There's no pain like your own. People will do anything to stay alive.

What use are we humans to God, even the wisest of us?

Soon they will die and all of their wealth will be left behind.

Here is what you have said: "It's foolish to serve the LORD God All-Powerful. What do we get for obeying him and from going around looking sad?

What will you gain, if you own the whole world but destroy yourself? What would you give to get back your soul?

If you want to save your life, you will destroy it. But if you give up your life for me and for the good news, you will save it.

What could you give to get back your soul?

What will you gain, if you own the whole world but destroy yourself or waste your life?

But what good did you receive from the things you did? All you have to show for them is your shame, and they lead to death.
