Has anyone gone up to heaven and come back down? Has anyone grabbed hold of the wind? Has anyone wrapped up the sea or marked out boundaries for the earth? If you know of any who have done such things, then tell me their names and their children's names.

And the bread that God gives is the one who came down from heaven to give life to the world."

I didn't come from heaven to do what I want! I came to do what the Father wants me to do. He sent me,

They were asking each other, "Isn't he Jesus, the son of Joseph? Don't we know his father and mother? How can he say that he has come down from heaven?"

The only one who has seen the Father is the one who has come from him. No one else has ever seen the Father.

I am that bread from heaven! Everyone who eats it will live forever. My flesh is the life-giving bread that I give to the people of this world.

What if you should see the Son of Man go up to heaven where he came from?

Jesus answered: If God were your Father, you would love me, because I came from God and only from him. He sent me. I did not come on my own.

David didn't go up to heaven. So he wasn't talking about himself when he said, "The Lord told my Lord to sit at his right side,

Look after yourselves and everyone the Holy Spirit has placed in your care. Be like shepherds to God's church. It is the flock that he bought with the blood of his own Son.

But people whose faith makes them acceptable to God will never ask, "Who will go up to heaven to bring Christ down?"

The first man was made from the dust of the earth, but the second man came from heaven.

The church is Christ's body and is filled with Christ who completely fills everything.

His commands aren't in heaven, so you can't excuse yourselves by saying, "How can we obey the LORD's commands? They are in heaven, and no one can go up to get them, then bring them down and explain them to us."
