He spends his time with sinners,
Your words have silenced others and made them ashamed; now it is only right for you to be put to shame.
And your sinful, scheming mind is the source of all you say.
Job replied, "Don't talk like a fool! If we accept blessings from God, we must accept trouble as well." In all that happened, Job never once said anything against God.
Give up those ancient ideas believed by sinners,
because he has said, "It doesn't pay to please God."
God blesses those people who refuse evil advice and won't follow sinners or join in sneering at God.
I don't spend my time with worthless liars
You made friends with every crook you met, and you liked people who break their wedding vows.
Don't follow anyone like that or do what they do.
Wise friends make you wise, but you hurt yourself by going around with fools.
Wisdom will protect you from evil schemes and from those liars
Don't follow the bad example of cruel and evil people.
Don't fool yourselves. Bad friends will destroy you.
