stop punishing and terrifying me!

Then I would discover what he wanted to say.

God is much stronger than I am, and who would call me into court to give me justice?

Not once in a thousand times could we win our case if we took him to court.

God is wise and powerful-- who could possibly oppose him and win?

When I asked for your help, you answered my prayer and gave me courage.

I am no longer angry. But if it produces thorns, I will go to war against it and burn it to the ground.

I carefully measured out Israel's punishment and sent the scorching heat to chase them far away.

As surely as I am the living LORD God, I will rule over you with my powerful arm. You will feel my fierce anger

and lead you into a desert surrounded by nations. I will meet you there face to face. Then I will pass judgment on you
