you claim to be innocent, and you want me to stop being angry with you. So I'll take you to court, and we'll see who is right.

If you don't confess your sins, you will be a failure. But God will be merciful if you confess your sins and give them up.

You wonder why the LORD pays no attention when you go without eating and act humble. But on those same days that you give up eating, you think only of yourselves and abuse your workers.

They will ask, "Why has the LORD our God threatened us with so many disasters? Have we done something wrong or sinned against him?"

You deny your sins and say, "We aren't unclean. We haven't worshiped Baal." But think about what you do in Hinnom Valley. And you run back and forth like young camels, as you rush to worship one idol after another.

The LORD said to Israel: You accuse me of not saving you, but I say you have rebelled.

I will take you to court and accuse you and your descendants *

My voice will be heard everywhere on earth, accusing nations of their crimes and sentencing the guilty to death.

I will spread out a net to trap him. Then I will drag him to Babylon and see that he is punished for his unfaithfulness to me.

Before I knew about the Law, I was alive. But as soon as I heard that command, sin came to life,
