I have ruled this way, and God will never break his promise to me. God's promise is complete and unchanging; he will always help me and give me what I hope for.

They will all disappear and wear out like clothes. You change them, as you would a coat, but you last forever.

And so, we won't be afraid! Let the earth tremble and the mountains tumble into the deepest sea.

Let the ocean roar and foam, and its raging waves shake the mountains.

They won't go hungry or get thirsty; they won't be bothered by the scorching sun or hot desert winds. I will be merciful while leading them along to streams of water.

The LORD answered, "Could a mother forget a child who nurses at her breast? Could she fail to love an infant who came from her own body? Even if a mother could forget, I will never forget you.

When you are set free, you will celebrate and travel home in peace. Mountains and hills will sing as you pass by, and trees will clap.

Pay close attention! Come to me and live. I will promise you the eternal love and loyalty that I promised David.

Give up your crooked ways and your evil thoughts. Return to the LORD our God. He will be merciful and forgive your sins.

The LORD says: "My people, I promise to give you my Spirit and my message. These will be my gifts to you and your families forever. I, the LORD, have spoken."

I, the LORD, love justice! But I hate robbery and injustice. My people, I solemnly promise to reward you with an eternal agreement.

I will tell about the kind deeds the LORD has done. They deserve praise! The LORD has shown mercy to the people of Israel; he has been kind and good.

A child has been born for us. We have been given a son who will be our ruler. His names will be Wonderful Advisor and Mighty God, Eternal Father and Prince of Peace.

I will never forget to give those commands, and I will never let Israel stop being a nation. I, the LORD, have spoken.

I, the LORD, have an agreement with day and night, so they always come at the right time. You can't break the agreement I made with them,

Only then will I calm down and stop being angry and jealous.

The people of Israel are my sheep, and I solemnly promise that they will live in peace. I will chase away every wild animal from the desert and the forest, so my sheep will not be afraid.

I blessed him with a full life, as I had promised, and he kept his part of the agreement by honoring me and respecting my name.

But instead of punishing them, I forgave them. So because of the loyalty that Phinehas showed, I solemnly promise that he and his descendants will always be my priests."

So I will call you Peter, which means "a rock." On this rock I will build my church, and death itself will not have any power over it.

The sky and the earth won't last forever, but my words will.

Heaven and earth may disappear. But I promise you that not even a period or comma will ever disappear from the Law. Everything written in it must happen.

God doesn't take back the gifts he has given or forget about the people he has chosen.

He saved us because of his mercy, and not because of any good things that we have done. God washed us by the power of the Holy Spirit. He gave us new birth and a fresh beginning.

The words "once again" mean that these created things will someday be shaken and removed. Then what cannot be shaken will last.

Then the sky was rolled up like a scroll, and all mountains and islands were moved from their places.
