The LORD decided his servant would suffer as a sacrifice to take away the sin and guilt of others. Now the servant will live to see his own descendants. He did everything the LORD had planned.

God did not keep back his own Son, but he gave him for us. If God did this, won't he freely give us everything else?

Christ never sinned! But God treated him as a sinner, so that Christ could make us acceptable to God.

But Christ rescued us from the Law's curse, when he became a curse in our place. This is because the Scriptures say that anyone who is nailed to a tree is under a curse.

The LORD All-Powerful said: My sword, wake up! Attack my shepherd and friend. Strike down the shepherd! Scatter the little sheep, and I will destroy them.

God was kind and decided that Christ would choose us to be God's own adopted children.

We know that death no longer has any power over Christ. He died and was raised to life, never again to die.

The LORD will reward him with honor and power for sacrificing his life. Others thought he was a sinner, but he suffered for our sins and asked God to forgive us.

and the living one. I died, but now I am alive forevermore, and I have the keys to death and the world of the dead.

Christ carried the burden of our sins. He was nailed to the cross, so that we would stop sinning and start living right. By his cuts and bruises you are healed.

If we follow our desires, we cannot please God.

I tell you for certain that a grain of wheat that falls on the ground will never be more than one grain unless it dies. But if it dies, it will produce lots of wheat.

Then a voice from heaven said, "This is my own dear Son, and I am pleased with him."

But Christ was sinless, and he offered himself as an eternal and spiritual sacrifice to God. That's why his blood is much more powerful and makes our consciences clear. Now we can serve the living God and no longer do things that lead to death.

and he is better than any other high priest. Jesus doesn't need to offer sacrifices each day for his own sins and then for the sins of the people. He offered a sacrifice once for all, when he gave himself.

He also said, "I will trust God." Then he said, "Here I am with the children God has given me."

Let love be your guide. Christ loved us and offered his life for us as a sacrifice that pleases God.

and by what Christ has done, God has shown us his own mysterious ways.

He will rule the people of Israel forever, and his kingdom will never end."

While Peter was still speaking, the shadow of a bright cloud passed over them. From the cloud a voice said, "This is my own dear Son, and I am pleased with him. Listen to what he says!"

Our God, no one is like you. We are all that is left of your chosen people, and you freely forgive our sin and guilt. You don't stay angry forever; you're glad to have pity

God has decided that for seventy weeks, your people and your holy city must suffer as the price of their sins. Then evil will disappear, and justice will rule forever; the visions and words of the prophets will come true, and a most holy place will be dedicated.

Tell them that as surely as I am the living LORD God, I don't like to see wicked people die. I enjoy seeing them turn from their sins and live. So if the Israelites want to live, they must stop sinning and turn back to me.

The LORD is pleased with his people, and he gives victory to those who are humble.

The LORD is pleased only with those who worship him and trust his love.

"One of David's descendants will always be king, and his family will rule until the sky disappears.

May the glory of the king shine brightly forever like the sun in the sky. Let him make nations prosper and learn to praise him.

In the future, everyone will worship and learn about you, our Lord.

God chose you, and we keep praying that God will make you worthy of being his people. We pray for God's power to help you do all the good things that you hope to do and that your faith makes you want to do.

His power will never end; peace will last forever. He will rule David's kingdom and make it grow strong. He will always rule with honesty and justice. The LORD All-Powerful will make certain that all of this is done.

His family will always rule. I will let his kingdom last as long as the sun

Let the king be fair with everyone, and let there be peace until the moon falls from the sky.

They cause trouble for people you have already punished; their gossip hurts those you have wounded.

He asked to live a long time, and you promised him life that never ends.

Your glorious power will be seen on the day you begin to rule. You will wear the sacred robes and shine like the morning sun in all of your strength.

I also promise that you will always have descendants and will never be forgotten, just as the new heavens and the new earth that I create will last forever.

People not yet born will be told, "The Lord has saved us!"

I said to myself, "I'm completely worn out; my time has been wasted. But I did it for the LORD God, and he will reward me."

Then, after God is given glory because of him, God will bring glory to him, and God will do it very soon.
