When the people of Zion and of the towns of Judah hear that God brings justice, they will celebrate.

Someone is shouting: "Clear a path in the desert! Make a straight road for the LORD our God.

Tell the tribes of the desert and everyone in the mountains to celebrate and sing.

I am creating something new. There it is! Do you see it? I have put roads in deserts, streams in thirsty lands.

Though Zion is in ruins, the LORD will bring comfort, and the city will be as lovely as the garden of Eden that he provided. Then Zion will celebrate; it will be thankful and sing joyful songs.

Then I asked the LORD, "How long will this last?" The LORD answered: Until their towns are destroyed and their houses are deserted, until their fields are empty,

No one will have more than one young cow and two sheep,

Instead, they will say that it looks as beautiful as the garden of Eden. They won't see towns lying in ruins, but they will see your strong cities filled with people.
