At that time, people will say, "The LORD has saved us! Let's celebrate. We waited and hoped-- now our God is here."

With your own eyes you will see the glorious King; you will see his kingdom reaching far and wide.

"Cheer up! Don't be afraid. Your God is coming to punish your enemies. God will take revenge on them and rescue you."

But you are our LORD and our God! We ask you to keep us safe from the Assyrian king. Then everyone in every kingdom on earth will know that you are the only LORD.

I am the LORD, the King of Israel! Come argue your case with me. Present your evidence.

I am the LORD All-Powerful, the first and the last, the one and only God. Israel, I have rescued you! I am your King.

But the LORD has promised to fight on our side and to rescue our children from those strong and violent enemies.

He will make those cruel people dine on their own flesh and get drunk from drinking their own blood. Then everyone will know that the LORD is our Savior; the powerful God of Israel has rescued his people.

The LORD says: You are my people and nation! So pay attention to me. My teaching will cause justice to shine like a light for every nation.

Those who live across the sea are eagerly waiting for me to rescue them. I am strong and ready; soon I will come to save and to rule all nations.

If you want to do right and to obey my teaching with all your heart, then pay close attention. Don't be discouraged when others insult you and say hurtful things.

You will drain the wealth of kings and foreign nations. You will know that I, the mighty LORD God of Israel, have saved and rescued you.

Everyone in Jerusalem, celebrate and shout! Your king has won a victory, and he is coming to you. He is humble and rides on a donkey; he comes on the colt of a donkey.

"Announce to the people of Jerusalem: 'Your king is coming to you! He is humble and rides on a donkey. He comes on the colt of a donkey.' "

Then the king will say to those on his right, "My father has blessed you! Come and receive the kingdom that was prepared for you before the world was created.
