What is the best thing to do in the short life that God has given us? I think we should enjoy eating, drinking, and working hard. This is what God intends for us to do.

We struggle just to have enough to eat, but we are never satisfied.

Whether you turn to the right or to the left, you will hear a voice saying, "This is the road! Now follow it."

They will live in a fortress high on a rocky cliff, where they will have food and plenty of water.

Both of them were good people and pleased the Lord God by obeying all that he had commanded.

When you eat or drink or do anything else, always do it to honor God.

We can be proud of our clear conscience. We have always lived honestly and sincerely, especially when we were with you. And we were guided by God's wonderful kindness instead of by the wisdom of this world.

Moses was a prophet, and before he died, he blessed the tribes of Israel by saying:

You have accepted Christ Jesus as your Lord. Now keep on following him.

We begged, encouraged, and urged each of you to live in a way that would honor God. He is the one who chose you to share in his own kingdom and glory.

Later, when Jacob was about to die, he leaned on his walking stick and worshiped. Then because of his faith he blessed each of Joseph's sons.
