Joseph turned away from them and cried, but soon he turned back and spoke to them again. Then he had Simeon tied up and taken away while they watched.

The old man said, "You are welcome to spend the night in my home and to be my guest, but don't stay out here!"

"Calm down!" the LORD told Gideon. "There's nothing to be afraid of. You're not going to die."
