"I will bless you and give you such a large family, that someday your descendants will be more numerous than the stars in the sky or the grains of sand along the beach. They will defeat their enemies and take over the cities where their enemies live.

I will bless you and make your descendants into a great nation. You will become famous and be a blessing to others.

So let your brothers be called "My People" and your sisters be called "Shown Mercy."

The nation is fatally wounded. Judah is doomed. Jerusalem will fall.

God promised Abraham and his descendants that he would give them the world. This promise wasn't made because Abraham had obeyed a law, but because his faith in God made him acceptable.

And this is what the prophet Isaiah said about the people of Israel, "The people of Israel are as many as the grains of sand along the beach. But only a few who are left will be saved.

But thank God for letting our Lord Jesus Christ give us the victory!

Praise the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ for the spiritual blessings that Christ has brought us from heaven!

The LORD our God has blessed us, and so now there are as many of us as there are stars in the sky.

God has even promised to bless us a thousand times more, and I pray that he will.

When your ancestors went to live in Egypt, there were only seventy of them. But the LORD has blessed you, and now there are more of you than there are stars in the sky.
