Deuteronomy 33:1

Moses was a prophet, and before he died, he blessed the tribes of Israel by saying:

Cook some of that tasty food that I love so much and bring it to me. I want to eat it once more and give you my blessing before I die."

Jacob called his sons together and said: My sons, I am Jacob, your father Israel.

These are the twelve tribes of Israel, and this is how Jacob gave each of them their proper blessings.

One day, Jeroboam was standing at the altar in Bethel, ready to make an offering. Suddenly one of God's prophets arrived from Judah and shouted: The LORD sent me with a message about this altar. A child named Josiah will be born into David's family. He will sacrifice on this altar the priests who make offerings here, and human bones will be burned on it.

"Please pray to the LORD your God and ask him to heal my hand," Jeroboam begged. The prophet prayed, and Jeroboam's hand was healed.

Moses, the man of God, was the father of Gershom and Eliezer, and their descendants were considered Levites.

Solomon then assigned the priests and the Levites their duties at the temple, and he followed the instructions that his father David had given him. Some of the Levites were to lead music and help the priests in their duties, and others were to guard the temple gates

It was next to a room belonging to some of the officials, and that room was over the one belonging to Maaseiah, a priest who was one of the high officials in the temple.

I give you peace, the kind of peace that only I can give. It isn't like the peace that this world can give. So don't be worried or afraid.

I have told you this, so that you might have peace in your hearts because of me. While you are in the world, you will have to suffer. But cheer up! I have defeated the world.

One day while the Israelites were still camped at Gilgal, Caleb the son of Jephunneh went to talk with Joshua.
