Wherever you go, I will watch over you, then later I will bring you back to this land. I won't leave you--I will do all I have promised.

After that, Jacob said, "Joseph, you can see that I won't live much longer. But God will be with you and will lead you back to the land he promised our family long ago.

The LORD's kindness never fails! If he had not been merciful, we would have been destroyed.

He causes a lot of suffering, but he also has pity because of his great love.

And someday, I will gather you from the nations where you are scattered and let you live in Israel again.

I will gather you from the foreign nations and bring you home.

My people will realize that I, the LORD their God, sent them away as prisoners and now will bring them back to their own land.

and pleased to be merciful. You will trample on our sins and throw them in the sea.

Although I scattered my people in distant countries, they won't forget me. Once their children are raised, they will return--

If those other branches will start having faith, they will be made a part of that tree again. God has the power to put them back.

In this way all of Israel will be saved, as the Scriptures say, "From Zion someone will come to rescue us. Then Jacob's descendants will stop being evil.

And because of the mercy shown to you, they will also be shown mercy.

Only a few of you will survive, and the LORD will force you to leave the land and will scatter you among the nations.
