Let me truly respect your laws, so I won't be ashamed.

God gives helpful advice to everyone who obeys him and protects all of those who live as they should.

I am strong, and I offer sensible advice and sound judgment.

The Spirit of the LORD will be with him to give him understanding, wisdom, and insight. He will be powerful, and he will know and honor the LORD.

The people went out to see what had happened, and when they came to Jesus, they also found the man. The demons had gone out of him, and he was sitting there at the feet of Jesus. He had clothes on and was in his right mind. But the people were terrified.

I give you peace, the kind of peace that only I can give. It isn't like the peace that this world can give. So don't be worried or afraid.

God gave the Holy Spirit and power to Jesus from Nazareth. He was with Jesus, as he went around doing good and healing everyone who was under the power of the devil.

But I don't care what happens to me, as long as I finish the work that the Lord Jesus gave me to do. And that work is to tell the good news about God's great kindness.

But Paul answered, "Why are you crying and breaking my heart? I am not only willing to be put in jail for the Lord Jesus. I am even willing to die for him in Jerusalem!"

I often had them punished in our meeting places, and I tried to make them give up their faith. In fact, I was so angry with them, that I went looking for them in foreign cities.

But Paul replied, "Honorable Festus, I am not crazy. What I am saying is true, and it makes sense.

God gave Stephen the power to work great miracles and wonders among the people.

Saul preached with such power that he completely confused the Jewish people in Damascus, as he tried to show them that Jesus is the Messiah.

that will never disappoint us. All of this happens because God has given us the Holy Spirit, who fills our hearts with his love.

God's Spirit doesn't make us slaves who are afraid of him. Instead, we become his children and call him our Father.

When I talked with you or preached, I didn't try to prove anything by sounding wise. I simply let God's Spirit show his power.

God's Spirit makes us loving, happy, peaceful, patient, kind, good, faithful,

He is also the one who told us about the love that God's Spirit has given you.

But he also died to rescue all of us who live each day in fear of dying.

You obeyed the truth, and your souls were made pure. Now you sincerely love each other. But you must keep on loving with all your heart.

A real love for others will chase those worries away. The thought of being punished is what makes us afraid. It shows that we have not really learned to love.
