I see him, but not now; I perceive him, but not near. A star will come from Jacob, and a scepter will arise from Israel. He will smash the forehead  of Moab and strike down  all the Shethites.

The scepter will not depart from Judah or the staff from between his feet until he whose right it is comes  , and the obedience of the peoples belongs to him.

We also have the prophetic word strongly confirmed, and you will do well to pay attention to it, as to a lamp shining in a dark place,  until the day dawns  and the morning star  rises in your hearts.

The cornerstone,  the tent peg, the battle bow,  and every ruler — all will go out from him together.

Because of our God’s merciful compassion, the dawn from on high  will visit us

Now it is evident that our Lord came from Judah,  and Moses said nothing about that tribe concerning priests.

He placed garrisons throughout Edom, and all the Edomites were subject to David.  The Lord made David victorious wherever he went.

About Moab,  this is what the Lord of Armies, the God of Israel, says: Woe to Nebo,  because it is about to be destroyed; Kiriathaim will be put to shame;  it will be taken captive. The fortress will be put to shame and dismayed!
