When Jesus was baptized, he went up immediately from the water. The heavens  suddenly opened for him,  and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and coming down on him.

The Spirit of the Lord will rest on him   — a Spirit of wisdom and understanding, a Spirit of counsel and strength, a Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the  Lord.

As soon as he came up out of the water, he saw the heavens  being torn open and the Spirit descending on him like a dove.

“This  is my servant;  I strengthen him, this is my chosen one;  I delight in him. I have put my Spirit on him; he will bring justice  to the nations.

The Spirit of the Lord God is on me, because the Lord has anointed me to bring good news to the poor. He has sent me to heal  the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives and freedom to the prisoners;

He said, “Look, I see the heavens opened and the Son of Man standing at the right hand of God! ”

In the thirtieth year, in the fourth month, on the fifth day of the month, while I was among the exiles by the Chebar Canal,  the heavens were opened  and I saw visions of God.

For the one whom God sent speaks God’s words, since he  gives the Spirit  without measure.

“As for me, this is my covenant with them,”  says the Lord: “My Spirit who is on you, and my words that I have put in your mouth,  will not depart from your mouth, or from the mouths of your children, or from the mouths of your children’s children, from now on and forever,” says the Lord.

Then he said, “Truly I tell you, you will see heaven opened and the angels of God   ascending and descending   on the Son of Man.”

beginning from the baptism of John until the day he was taken up from us #— #from among these, it is necessary that one become a witness with us of his resurrection.”

Jesus Christ #— #he is the one who came by water and blood, not by water only, but by water  and by blood.  And the Spirit is the one who testifies,  because the Spirit is the truth.
