When daybreak came, all the chief priests and the elders of the people plotted against Jesus to put him to death.

As  soon as it was morning, having held a meeting with the elders,  scribes,  and the whole Sanhedrin, the chief priests  tied Jesus up, led him away, and handed him over to Pilate.

Then  they led Jesus from Caiaphas to the governor’s headquarters.  It was early morning. They did not enter the headquarters themselves; otherwise they would be defiled and unable to eat the Passover.

When daylight came,  the elders  of the people, both the chief priests and the scribes,  convened and brought him before their Sanhedrin.

Woe to those who dream up wickedness and prepare evil plans  on their beds! At morning light  they accomplish it because the power is in their hands.

“Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! You shut the door of the kingdom of heaven in people’s faces. For you don’t go in, and you don’t allow those entering to go in.   ,

Hearing this, they entered the temple at daybreak and began to teach. When the high priest and those who were with him arrived, they convened the Sanhedrin #— #the full council of the Israelites #— #and sent orders to the jail to have them brought.

Saul sent agents to David’s house to watch for him and kill him in the morning.  But his wife Michal  warned David, “If you don’t escape tonight, you will be dead tomorrow! ”

When the Gazites heard that Samson was there, they surrounded the place and waited in ambush for him all that night at the city gate. They kept quiet all night, saying, “Let’s wait until dawn; then we will kill him.”

At that time,  some people came and reported to him about the Galileans  whose blood Pilate  had mixed with their sacrifices.
