Matthew 10:2

These are the names of the twelve apostles:  First, Simon, who is called Peter, and Andrew his brother; James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother;

When they arrived, they went to the room  upstairs where they were staying: Peter, John, James, Andrew, Philip, Thomas, Bartholomew, Matthew, James the son of Alphaeus, Simon the Zealot, and Judas the son of James.

Going on from there, he saw two other brothers, James the son of Zebedee, and his brother John. They were in a boat with Zebedee their father, preparing their nets, and he called them.

Philip went and told Andrew;  then Andrew and Philip went and told Jesus.

One of his disciples, Andrew,  Simon  Peter’s  brother, said to him,

and so were James and John, Zebedee’s sons, who were Simon’s partners. “Don’t be afraid,”   Jesus told Simon. “From now on you will be catching people.”

As  he was walking along the Sea of Galilee,  he saw two brothers, Simon (who is called Peter), and his brother Andrew. They were casting a net into the sea #— #for they were fishermen.

Because of this, the wisdom of God   said, ‘I will send them prophets and apostles,   and some of them they will kill and persecute,’

I, John, your brother and partner in the affliction,  kingdom,  and endurance  that are in Jesus, was on the island called Patmos because of the word of God and the testimony of Jesus.

Simeon  Peter,  a servant and an apostle  of Jesus Christ: To those who have received a faith equal to ours through the righteousness  of our God and Savior  Jesus Christ.

Peter,  an apostle of Jesus Christ: To those chosen, living as exiles  dispersed  abroad in Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia, and Bithynia,  chosen

Therefore, holy brothers and sisters, who share in a heavenly calling, consider Jesus, the apostle and high priest of our confession.

And he himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, some pastors and teachers,

Then he appeared to James,  then to all the apostles.

and he executed James,  John’s brother, with the sword.

Now Peter and John were going up to the temple for the time of prayer  at three in the afternoon.

Then they cast lots  for them, and the lot fell to Matthias and he was added to the eleven apostles.

This is the disciple who testifies to these things and who wrote them down. We know that his testimony is true.

So Peter turned around and saw the disciple Jesus loved  following them, the one who had leaned back against Jesus at the supper and asked, “Lord, who is the one that’s going to betray you? ”

Simon Peter,  Thomas  (called “Twin”  ), Nathanael  from Cana of Galilee,  Zebedee’s  sons, and two others of his disciples were together.

So she went running to Simon Peter  and to the other disciple, the one Jesus loved, and said to them, “They’ve taken the Lord out of the tomb,  and we don’t know where they’ve put him! ”

One of his disciples, the one Jesus loved,  was reclining close beside Jesus.

When  the hour came, he reclined at the table, and the apostles with him.

Jesus sent Peter and John,  saying, “Go and make preparations for us to eat the Passover.”

When the apostles returned,  they reported to Jesus all that they had done.  He took them along and withdrew privately to a  town called Bethsaida.

While he was sitting on the Mount of Olives  across from the temple,  Peter,  James,  John,  and Andrew  asked him privately,

As  soon as they left the synagogue,  they went into Simon  and Andrew’s  house  with James  and John.

Taking along Peter and the two sons of Zebedee, he began to be sorrowful and troubled.

Then the mother of Zebedee’s sons approached him with her sons.  She knelt down to ask him for something.

After six days  Jesus took Peter, James, and his brother John and led them up on a high mountain by themselves.

I, John, am the one who heard and saw these things. When I heard and saw them, I fell down to worship at the feet of the angel who had shown them to me.

The revelation of  Jesus Christ that God gave him to show his servants  what must soon take place.  He made it known by sending his angel  to his servant John,

The elder: To my dear friend Gaius, whom I love in the truth.

Rejoice over her, heaven, and you saints, apostles, and prophets, because God has pronounced on her the judgment  she passed on you!

The  apostles  gathered around Jesus and reported to him all that they had done and taught.

So Jesus said to the Twelve,  “You don’t want to go away too, do you? ”

Jesus replied to them, “Didn’t I choose you, the Twelve?   Yet one of you is a devil.”

He was referring to Judas,  Simon Iscariot’s son,  one of the Twelve, because he was going to betray  him.
