And Jesus answered him,  “It is written: Worship the Lord your God, and serve   him only.”

Fear the Lord your God, worship him, and take your oaths in his name.

You are to fear the Lord your God and worship him. Remain faithful  to him and take oaths in his name.

Then Jesus told him, “Go away,   Satan! For it is written: Worship the Lord your God, and serve only him.”   ,

Then I fell at his feet to worship him, but he said to me, “Don’t do that!  I am a fellow servant with you and your brothers and sisters who hold firmly to the testimony of Jesus.  Worship God, because the testimony of Jesus is the spirit  of prophecy.”

But he said to me, “Don’t do that! I am a fellow servant with you, your brothers the prophets, and those who keep the words of this book. Worship God! ”

Therefore, submit to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

But Jesus answered him, “It is written: Man must not live on bread alone.”   ,,

Samuel told them, “If you  are returning to the Lord   with all your heart,  get rid of the foreign gods  and the Ashtoreths that are among you, set your hearts on the Lord, and worship only him.  Then he will rescue you from the Philistines.”

Resist him,  firm in the faith, knowing that the same kind of sufferings are being experienced by your fellow believers throughout the world.

Jesus turned and told Peter, “Get behind me, Satan! You are a hindrance to me because you’re not thinking about God’s concerns   but human concerns.”

The pride of mankind  will be humbled, and human loftiness will be brought low; the Lord alone will be exalted on that day.

Then Hezekiah prayed before the Lord: Lord God of Israel, enthroned between the cherubim,  you are God #— #you alone #— #of all the kingdoms of the earth. You made the heavens and the earth.

If you, then, will worship me,  all will be yours.”
