And Jesus answered him, “It is said: Do not test the Lord your God. ” ,

Do not test the Lord your God as you tested him at Massah.

Let us not test Christ as some of them did and were destroyed by snakes.

Jesus told him, “It is also written: Do not test the Lord your God.” ,

So now we consider the arrogant to be fortunate. Not only do those who commit wickedness prosper, they even test God and escape.”

After the devil had finished every temptation, he departed from him for a time.
