Why should the Egyptians say, ‘He brought them out with an evil intent to kill them in the mountains and eliminate them from the face of the earth’? Turn from your fierce anger and relent concerning this disaster planned for your people.

But Moses replied to the Lord, “The Egyptians will hear about it, for by your strength you brought up this people from them.

What can I say, Lord, now that Israel has turned its back and run from its enemies?

The Lord then said to Joshua, “Stand up! Why have you fallen facedown?

The Lord will not abandon his people,  because of his great name and because he has determined to make you his own people.

Then my enemy will see, and she will be covered with shame, the one who said to me, “Where is the Lord your God? ” My eyes will look at her in triumph; at that time she will be trampled like mud in the streets.
