Joab fought against Rabbah of the Ammonites  and captured the royal fortress.

In the spring when kings march out to war, David sent Joab with his officers and all Israel. They destroyed the Ammonites and besieged Rabbah, but David remained in Jerusalem.

(Only King Og of Bashan was left of the remnant of the Rephaim.  His bed  was made of iron. Isn’t it in Rabbah of the Ammonites?  It is 13 1/2 feet long and 6 feet wide by a standard measure.  )

I will weep for you, vine of Sibmah, with more than the weeping for Jazer. Your tendrils have extended to the sea; they have reached to the sea and to Jazer. The destroyer has fallen on your summer fruit and grape harvest.

Gilead  remained beyond the Jordan. Dan, why did you linger at the ships? Asher remained at the seashore and stayed in his harbors.

The cities of Aroer are abandoned; they will be places for flocks. They will lie down without fear.
